Passionate, stirring, reflective, soulful...these words and many others describe the music of Tracey Cutler. Born and raised in Washington, DC, Tracey is a highly respected and requested saxophonist and educator. Tracey’s musical start on clarinet (which he still plays) has evolved into a journey as a multi-instrumentalist, clinician, producer, arranger, and musical educator.
From Blues Alley (Washington DC) to the Ourinhos Jazz Festival (San Paulo, Brazil), Tracey has shared the stage with a host of Jazz, Gospel, and R&B artists in the music industry: Stanley Turrentine, Jackie McLean, Lori Williams, Yolanda Adams, Lalah Hathaway, Miki Howard, Pieces Of A Dream, the BlackByrds, Tom Browne, Jeanne Carne, Take Six, The Temptations, and the late Phyllis Hyman.
“The Path”, Tracey’s solo CD, is a collection of jazz grooves based on the people and places of his life.
